The « Wolf Sweeper - Lang-Tiển » (狼 筅) is a Particular Arm, belonging to the Pole-Arms Category, born from the «Bamboo Spear - Giáo Tre Vầu» extremly dreadfull. It's a weapon invented in Vietnamese peasant villages under TRẦN Dynasty (1225~1413), during the military campaigns leaded against Mongol Yuan's armies, imitated later by MINH Dynasty (1368~1664).
It's a weapon that Tây-Sơn Dynasty (1778~1802) used for mastering Mandchu Long Spear and caused the terror to Mandchu Armies of Viceroy Tôn-Sĩ-Nghị (Sun Shi Yi 孫士毅 -1720~1796), when Đại-Việt Emperor Quang-Trung ordered to add wood-oil (dầu rái) to this « Bamboo Spear » and to light it.
